Southwestern Ontario WSIB Employer Group

Recognizing the importance of networking and sharing experiences with the Ontario WSIB, the inaugural meeting of the Southwestern Ontario WSIB Employer Group has been scheduled on the morning of June 3, 2020.

Critical WSIB claims issues including protracted claim assignments and decision making, timely management and intervention for mental health claims (e.g. concussions, traumatic injuries, post-concussive syndrome, PTSD), and definition of worker (e.g. independent operator, dependent contractor, etc.).

Schedule 1 employers must adjust to the changes in the WSIB classification scheme. For our meeting, the March 2020 NEER statement will be issued concurrently with the introduction of the new Rate Framework. Consideration will be given to the benefit of registering for the new occupational health and safety excellence program.

Members are invited to submit their own agenda items for group discussion.
